About Us

OK, you are convinced that you need to let everyone know you exist, so you decide you need a website.  You want to get this project rolling, but are unsure what to do or where to begin.  The following guidelines will help you prepare everything you need to get started.

  • Gathering Information.  Collect all the information you want to publish on your site.  This includes brochures, product information, logos, pictures, etc.

  • Selecting a Domain Name.  If you don’t have a Domain Name yet, you need to find one as soon as possible.  The Domain Name is just like a street address and people will use it to get to your Web site.  For example: ColdSphere Solutions’ Domain Name is www.coldsphere.com.

  • Checking Domain Name Availability.  Click here to go to our resources page to check the availability of your Domain Name.  A problem you are likely to find is that the name you want may already be in use by someone else.  In that case, try other versions of the domain name you originally chose; for example: www.coldspheresolutions.com would be an acceptable alternative.

  • Calculating the Number of Pages on Your Site.  There is no magic formula to calculate the number of pages your site will need; however, you can estimate how many pages your site will have when completed.  At this time, our site consists of 7 pages.

  1. Home page.  You will need a home page.  This is the first page that comes up on the screen when visiting your site.  Add one to the total.

  2. Products pages.  One page per product is usually the best and cleanest way to do it.  Add one to the total for each product you want published.

  3. Main Products page.  If you have more than one product, consider having a main Products page with links to the products pages.  You can have links to the products pages directly from the home page, but this makes your home page too cluttered sometimes.  Add one to the total (optional).

  4. Services.  Same as products.

  5. Company information.  Most companies have a page dedicated to information about the company.  This is an optional page; however, keep in mind that this is your chance to tell everybody what you are about.  Add one to the total (optional).

  6. Feedback.  If you want your visitors to leave you online feedback, you need this page.  Add one to the total (optional).

  7. Contact information.  This page is very important.  Here is where you tell your visitors how to get in touch with you.  Add one to the total.

  • Web Hosting.  Sometimes it makes more economic sense to have someone else host your Web site.  Consider outsourcing your Web site if you are a small business or individual.  Check out our Resources section for more information on Web hosting.

  • Placing an Order.  We hope this page helped you with your initial Web site planning and research whether you contract our services or not.  However, we would like to do business with you and hope you place your order with us.
